SERVICES
At White Oaks Kids Dental, we’ve designed an environment where children feel like they’re visiting with caring friends. We celebrate each child’s unique personality and the special energy they bring to our practice. Our team genuinely cares about getting to know your child, asking about their hobbies, school adventures, and proudly celebrating their accomplishments. Every child who walks through our doors is treated with respect, compassion, and understanding, making their dental experience something they can actually look forward to.
PREVENTIVE
CARE
Preventive dental care is important throughout life, especially at a young age. By practicing good oral hygiene at home and scheduling regular checkups with the dentist your child can have a fresh, healthy mouth. We apply dental sealants on newly erupted permanent molars.
SEDATION
DENTISTRY
Sedation helps ensure that pediatric dental visits provide young or anxious patients with a comfortable experience. Options like nitrous oxide and IV sedation help minimize anxiety and relax our young patients.
Dentistry
We specialize in minimally invasive dentistry, such as Hall crowns and SDF, perfect for our young ones or children with special needs.
WHITE
FILLINGS
Dental restorations, or fillings, such as composite and glass ionomer are gold standard for children . The strength and durability of these dental materials continue to make them useful for helping your child maintain their smile and chewing ability.
SPACE
MAINTENANCE
If your child’s tooth has come out too soon because of decay or an accident, it is important to maintain the space to prevent future orthodontic issues.
DENTAL
EMERGENCY
An abscessed tooth is a dental condition in which the nerve has become infected. Treatment may require a pulpotomy or extraction.
EXTRACTIONS
There are times when it is necessary to remove a tooth. Sometimes, a baby tooth has misshapen or long roots that prevent it from falling out at an appropriate time.
DIGITAL
X-RAYS
Using the most advanced dental technology possible is just as important as staying up to date on the latest treatment techniques.
HOSPITAL
DENTISTRY
Some children require dental treatment in a hospital setting due to complex medical conditions, extensive procedures, or severe dental anxiety.

DENTAL
EMERGENCIES
If your child faces a dental emergency, call us immediately. For after-hours urgent care, our office number will direct you to our emergency line. At White Oaks Kids Dental, we’re always here when your child’s dental health is at risk.
Prevention Tips Help prevent emergencies by child-proofing your home, avoiding hard foods like ice and popcorn kernels, using proper car seats and seatbelts, and having athletes wear mouthguards. Ask White Oaks Kids Dental about custom-fitted mouthguards. Regular brushing, flossing, and dental visits prevent most toothaches.
Toothache
If your child is experiencing dental pain, please call the office to schedule an appointment.
Facial Swelling
If you notice facial swelling or a swollen cheek, please call our office immediately. However, if facial swelling approaches the eye or is causing your child to have trouble breathing, this is a medical emergency and you need to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Broken Tooth/Filling
Find the tooth and only touch the crown (visible part). Rinse with water (no soap) and place in milk. Call us immediately and head to the hospital – quick action can save the tooth.Facial Swelling
Cut Lip, Tongue or Cheek
If your child falls or has trauma to the lips gums or cheek, apply a cold compress to the sites that are bleeding. Inspect the mouth to see if any teeth are loose. Give Motrin (preferred) or Tylenol to reduce inflammation and pain. Call our office to see if an appointment is needed.
Knocked out Teeth (Permanent)
If your child knocks out a PERMANENT tooth, this is a dental emergency. Put the tooth in milk; not water. Call our office immediately. Try not to touch the root of the tooth. If this happens at school or a sporting event, look for an athletic trainer or a school nurse to see if they have Sav-A-Tooth Solution. This solution keeps the cells of the tooth living longer.
Knocked out Teeth (Baby)
If your child knocks out a baby tooth, we can’t put it back in the mouth. The priority is to not damage the developing permanent tooth underneath. Rinse your child’s mouth and bite on a cold washcloth. Call our office to see if an appointment is needed. Find the tooth and get them excited about the tooth fairy! We hear the tooth fairy is extra generous with an unexpected tooth loss!
Loose Space Maintainer
Although rare, sometimes the cement that holds a space maintainer in place can fail. Usually this failure is related to consuming sticky candy or biting on something very hard that dislodges the metal band. Regardless of the cause, as soon as space maintainer becomes loose it needs to be removed from the child’s mouth, cleaned, and recemented if possible. If the space maintainer comes completely out at home, try to save it as it is custom fit for your child’s tooth.
